Orange Wedding Decoration

This is the life I want ...

The radio was playing, scratchy, noisy and slippery roads behind us.
was dawn now, and all four of us were tired, exhausted from the night just ended.
Our ears were still muffled by the loud music that we had wrapped up a couple of hours earlier.
John was silent, as all the previous evening. I was inexplicable, such as behavior and mood could change without notice, at any moment.
spent the most absolute happiness, a silent and inscrutable meditation. Thus, the previous evening, the fun and good humor pervaded all, everyone except him, seriously, was sitting on a chair, almost without blinking an eye. Immersed in distant thoughts to people unknown to me, unfathomable, unapproachable had erected a wall.
Leonard and Matt the other hand, in the back seat, they lived absurd moments for both. The first, always-talking too, was speechless in front of the collapse of the second.
Two broken hearts, one crying, consoling each other. Comprehensive, yet surrounded by extreme suffering, with the re-emergence by holding in her arms an injured as himself, torn by a love ended badly. I raised the volume of the radio. It was already embarrassing enough for a drunken Matt, to be exploded in a desperate cry, not a stranger listening to her moan.
A comforting hand, that of Leonardo, it rested on my shoulder. A sort of understanding and affection towards me unexpected. Shook it for a while ', keeping his eyes on the road.
Suddenly a feeling, a consciousness, I was struck in the chest. We were sharing something great at the moment. Something bigger than us all.
The feeling that being there, exactly at that moment was the right thing to do. A kind of destiny was making under our eyes.
Four individuals, each in their own way, gathered by chance in the same car, same place.
In the air we breathed a belonging and a complicity of years old, as we have always been friends, companions since time immemorial.
Yet I was sure ... Not more than a few days or weeks, separated our meetings.
